Hovercontrol... a very very nice site.

Recommended Posts

I only visit a few FS sites (about 3). But I must say that I have spent a pleasant 45 minutes over at this site. I am not a big FS helio fan (actually I am, I just cant get my X45 Saitek to work in XP properly) but I found the information presented in a elegant and comprehensive format. If you have broadband, I suggest checking out the video gallery, especially the one listed as 'Hovercontrol 7: Jet RangerProduced By Jordan Moore'... eh, lets just put it this way, Jordan knows how the make this thing sing. Also, if you have the stomac for it take a looksee at the first video under the training section (real world), made me sweat. It has been around awhile and you probably have been there, if you havent, please give it a visit. It is kind of a change of pace. No, I am not affiliated with them - just a FS user/addict saying to Jordan espcially 'Bravo'.http://www.hovercontrol.com/

Well said.I've only recently started flying helicopters and found that I love it. Jordan's Air Crane is ground-breaking in the way that Oleksy's Dash 8 was for fixed wing.Happy hoveringBlairCYOW

Thanks guys!I try to get around and read the posts in various forums when I can. It makes me very happy that you enjoyed it enough to want to spread the word. Everyone is welcome to come take a look. Interestingly, we get a lot of fixed-wing-only flyers, that stop by and at least get a kick out of how far the "other" side of the hobby has come.

Hovercontrol is also hosting the Helicopter AI stuff that Holger is doing. Seeing choppers flying around is great. Within the limitations of FS2002 AI, this looks very good. Of course, I'm sure there are some softball players in New York's Central Park that will be unhappy about having their field appropriated for a heliport...

pah, softball players ;-)actually, what I worry about more is how the landing area looks like with the Central Park mesh installed??? I don't have it so if anyone using the AI choppers could let me know, I might be able to provide a flatten file, if necessary.Cheers, Holger
