I have vista on my other computer as well, and other then being shiny and slower i dont experience any huge problemsthe problems I was talking about was when my computer originally with vista was changed to XP then crashed.

i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

yes i did was just warning him to make sure they completly get rid of vista so he doesnt end up with the same problem ;):(

Upgrading from XP to Vista should cause no problem if you have a decent knowledge of the correct process in which to do it. Just follow the instructions. :( I personally would never get the upgrade version of an OS, but rather reformat and perform a clean install.On the other hand, downgrading to XP from Vista shouldn't cause any problems, as before just know what you're getting into. Again, driver compatibility issues may arise, among other things, right? If you're unsure, call Microsoft's tech support, in my experience they're very helpful.
