July 16, 200916 yr Hi,I'm sure it's just me doing something wrong but no matter how I try I can't add a fix I have to correct the elevation problems at SKCL. The problem I have is that whenever I go into Scenery Library and then choose Add Area and then browse to my folder which is called SKCLFix and then click OK it will not add it to the scenery list but instead it opens up the SKCLFix folder where I have a scenery folder containing the bgl files and if I click that folder in turn same thing happens...it will just open it. To clarify below is the full path to the bgl files I would like to add to my scenery library.F:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Scenery\SKCLFix\SceneryCan someone please help me understand how to add scenery files into FSX's scenery library?

Or, if you have a scenery (airport) enhancement for SKCL already installed and activated, just put the bgl directly into the scenery subfolder of that entry. In any case the fix package should have included instructions. :(
July 16, 200916 yr Author Thanks for your input guys but even after trying what you suggest the problem persists, this is really weird!!I have tried putting the folder under the Addon Scenery folder but still same problem and I do have a folder called scenery in my fix folder and then the bgl files are in this scenery folder. In FSX it seems to work at first because when I select my fix folder information for Directory and Scenery area title is filled in but then when I click on OK it will just open my fix folder instead showing the scenery folder instead of adding my fix folder to the scenery lib list. There is instructions how to install included with the fix and they say..."This should fix the elevation at SKCL to 962m as per real life.1. install the SKCL_Preload.bgl file to your FSX's \scenery\world\scenery folder.2. install the other two bgl's to wherever you want and activate in Scenery Library as usual."...and that is exactly what I'm trying to do but no go...or more true the first step actually works just fine and I do see a difference at SKCL already after putting the SKCL_Preload.bgl file in the \scenery\world\scenery folder but as for step nr 2 the problem above begins...
July 17, 200916 yr ISTM your folder structure is OK. I'm guessing it is some sort of Vista x64 permissions problem.scott s..
July 17, 200916 yr Sounds like a Windows 7 addon scenery issue. With Win7 when it takes you in error to the sub dir just click in the white space and it will add the scenery. July 17, 200916 yr Author Not sure I'm following you now...where exactly do you mean I should click?Just figured it out myself, for anyone else with the same problem what you need to do when it takes you to the scenery subfolder is to click anywhere on the white below the scenery folder itself. Imagine it was a Windows 7 issue after all, thanks alot for pointing it out to me!!

November 19, 200916 yr Author Not sure I understand what you mean with "fix", what we've discussed here is how to add scenery to FSX's scenery library when running FSX under Windows 7 or maybe I misunderstood your question?
November 20, 200916 yr What can't you understand ?..."I can't add a fix I have to correct the elevation problems at SKCL". is the question you asked. The guy is asking where you got the fix from, as he obviously needs it too.Russell.
