Munich

Recommended Posts

Has anyone ever made a scenery of Munich which details the city? I can find some airport improvements, but no city details. Thanks.Don

Don,at http://www.cr-software.com/de/service/ednx.htm, there is a scenery for FS2000 of 'Oberschleissheim' (Runs fine in FS2002 so long as the flatten command is correctly used). This includes not only the Airfield EDNX but also the Castle of Oberschleissheim, the German Museum 'Flugwerft' and the Windturbine on the Munich 'Muhlberg'.Its not quite the framerate friendliest package but it does add a bit of spice to the otherwise sparten Munich Landscape.Back when I was using Fly!II, I had an aerial photo of Munich (4.5meter/px) prep'd for use in the Sim but all my attempts at correctly skewing and positioning failed miserably.Sadly the images are from a commercial package and I can therefore only use the 1GB image for my personnal use. I would otherwise have worked with someone to get the image to work in FS2k2.Cheers,-Tp.s. I also found a very nice short review of EDNX by none other than our own Steve 'Bear' Cartwright at http://www.avsim.com/pages/0502/bear_5-4-02/bearracing.htm which includes a direct link to its download here.

http://www.avsim.com/other/usaribbon.gifTodd IngallsMember of [link:www.grid.org/services/teams/team.htm?id=5E79C613-0A60-4A3B-BDC1-F9EE49F2D4FE]Join the AVSIM Team Fight Against Cancer!]
[/table.----BEGIN FS CODE BLOCK----G:EDNX(DE) a R- FS++ F+ P U+ X C+ H+>++ O+ V-- A+(++) SP?>+++-----END FS CODE BLOCK-----

There are a number of VFR projects running in germany that I've heard of. Sadly, at the moment no Bavaria photoreal terrain is commercially available as Sim scenery.However for flying in and around Bavaria, I can suggest VFR Airfields from CR Products (see first link in my previous posting).Also available is VFR Scenery Germany 1 from Aerosoft. I've not used this product but a can be found at our Clubs website http://fsc-ev.de/ in german language, of course.But enough for this evening. I'm off to the biergarten for a Russenmass and an Obazda.Pfiat eich,-T

http://www.avsim.com/other/usaribbon.gifTodd IngallsMember of [link:www.fsc-ev.de|FSC e.V.][link:www.grid.org/services/teams/team.htm?id=5E79C613-0A60-4A3B-BDC1-F9EE49F2D4FE]Join the AVSIM Team Fight Against Cancer!]
[/table----BEGIN FS CODE BLOCK----G:EDNX(DE) a R- FS++ F+ P U+ X C+ H+>++ O+ V-- A+(++) SP?>+++-----END FS CODE BLOCK-----
