What are the limits of an NDA?

Recommended Posts

Guest AAF

I'm not one to ask about an upcoming sim, I'll wait for the reviews, but to the people who have the beta, or simply those who know the restrictions of an NDA, could you tell me what they are? I am just curious is all. Thank you.

Those who are testing cannot disclose details about the product or the results of that testing.Cheers,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/12447.jpgMember of the [a href=http://ffg.avsim.net" target="_blank]Freeware Flight Group [/a]

I've not seen the MSFS-specific NDA, but if it's like some of the others from MS it also prohibits you from disclosing the provisions of the NDA itself :-) .Doug

It's usually when the program goes "Gold" (i.e. no further changes are to be made and it goes to manufacturing). If they are going to make their release date, I would think that this would be very soon.Hope this helps,--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

"What are the limits of an NDA?"Simple answer is - it all depends on who writes them!!!!I've seen some that are 'all-encompassing' and appear water-tight, whilst I was subject to another that was so ambiguous and legally flawed as to render it useless (written by someone who thought he could pass as a lawyer). If the NDA you're referring to is from Microsoft however, I'd assume it's pretty weighty and very enforceable.Toni.
