August 29, 200916 yr Are you implying that I am not a legitimate user? FYI I am the legitimate owner of both FS9 and FSX/Acceleration, both of which I bought in a shop. There is also not a single cracked addon on my HDD.You were implying that I am a thief without even a shred of evidence. No I implying that the logic, rationals, and justifications in your post is exactly the reason for this whole problem/mess.If I reason to think you were a thief you would be promptly banned from this site. August 29, 200916 yr Commercial Member I don't think we need to pay too much attention to Jakke the Socialist. Jakke, software is copywrited. It is against the law to copy such things. And I'm sure that he'll probably say someone else is using his nickname too, on this FS warez site (there's even Belga1, what a coincidence, these nicknames seems to be very popular)http://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:Cwm4b...=clnk&gl=ithttp://209.85.129.132/search?q=cache:hmn59...=clnk&gl=itP.S.If you want to hide on a registration-only pirate forum, at least tell your sys admin to be careful about not letting the Google crawler getting inside, because you'll be visible in the cache :) Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook
August 29, 200916 yr I don't think that my political beliefs are an issue here, and you calling me a socialist has no grounds whatsoever.Given the fact that I work in IT, I don't really need an explanation on copyright or the infringements thereof.Fact is, that the comments on crackers making money out of their work is rediculous. They don't. But devs making money out of what they percieve to be piracy is a simple fact. Cfr Warbirdsim with their rediculous pricing policies.
August 29, 200916 yr Serious question and I expect I will be told to mind my own business but you guys at Eaglesoft - do you all have full time jobs and do this as a hobby and for pocket money or is being a payware developer your full time job and only source of income?I'm genuinely curious to know and have no hidden agenda in asking. It really is none of your business but the answer is "all of the above."That is to say it runs the gamut from 25 to 30 years in coding experience to those who simply contribute on a "per project basis" and everything in between. As Forrest Gump says...that's all we have to say about that. :(

It fits in with the need to be the 'stay-at-home-parent' with a young child. It does not produce enough income to support a single person, let alone a family. So, despite what some are claiming, I'm not even breaking even... let alone getting rich off of this. My compiler, not free. My computer hardware, not free. Any documentation I have to purchase for a given project, most definitely not free and very rarely cheap.I've worked long and hard on the Citation X, as example... and the fact someone thinks all my work should be theirs for free is really insulting.I don't think that my political beliefs are an issue here, and you calling me a socialist has no grounds whatsoever.Given the fact that I work in IT, I don't really need an explanation on copyright or the infringements thereof.Fact is, that the comments on crackers making money out of their work is rediculous. August 29, 200916 yr Commercial Member Fact is, that the comments on crackers making money out of their work is rediculous. They don'tFact is, that you are wrong, and repeating it will not make it more true. As I've said already, those very "benefactors" you cited, are originally distributing their cracks on a pay for access web site. The cracks are eventually release on other websites ONLY becasue one of this paying users are sharing it outside. Umberto Colapicchioni http://www.fsdreamteam.com FSDT on Facebook

I imagine that there are a lot of Jan's/Jakke's who were born in 1966 as I am.Also, I am an IT technician/System support for the federal goverment of my country, so piracy is out of the question for me. Let alone the fact that I do know about changing your handle's and so forth if I would be involved in this. I use the same nick/handle all over the net and see no reason whatsoever to change it. My conscience is clear.

The practice is not limited to capitalistic societies.Socialist societies suffer from the practice as well. In fact, much of the illegal trade in software originates or is based in socialist or communist countries. Please spare us the black=white or white=black speech...it's boring. :(
August 29, 200916 yr In short: greed is free enterpriseSorry, Jakke. Did I misinterpret that line. If so, my bad.Bob Bob i5, 16 GB ram, GTX 960, FS on SSD, Windows 10 64 bit, home built works anyway.

August 29, 200916 yr I am not sure why this makes any difference? It really doesn't, it's just something I've always wondered about - I was daydreaming, I'll pay attention now. Thanks Ed for your reply.
August 29, 200916 yr I am not sure why this makes any difference?Jim, we've already given an opaque answer since it truly is none of anyones business but our own. :(

What more do you want me to say, Mr Big Shot CEO???Many of them are flight sim users, of course, and they are usually found together in the same thread about piracy with people incidentally nicknamed Belga1...I was expecting such reply, Mr. "3 posts on Avsim", welcome to this forum...why not give us the ip addresses that prove what you are implying Mr Big Shot CEO???Your insinuations are sickening and typical for your kind. Robbed any FS fans lately??? Of course you have! And when they have problems with your puny security, you just cash in, laugh your way to the bank and let them rot.
