Cruising pitch(MD-11)

Recommended Posts

Guest Joshua01

Hey guys, I just purchased the MD-11 and I must say that I love it!I just have a question regarding the aircraft pitch at cruising altitude. How much pitch is normal while cruising? At what pitch would the passengers and crew start to become uncomfortable?Your input would be much appreciated, thank you.-Joshua Reser.

Wecome... by coincidence this was asked not too long ago. The deck angle is enough to make some cabin attendents complain, we joked about motorized service carts.

Hi Joshua: 2,5 degrees aircraft nose up is normal.RGDS

+2.5 to +5 degrees is typical. The reason is because she has a smaller wing than is really needed. It's also why she's generally a faster aircraft (higher speed = more lift).Best regards,Robin.
