Recommended Posts

Guest fsxscot

hello allgreat to see avsim back,I've never done it before but im eager to attempt to create sceneries for some airports I really want to use and so Im looking for a freeware airport scenery designer, one that a newbie like me could use with ease. I would buy a payware but dont have alot of money at moment, i have rwy12 installed so i can try and use this as well but im unsure how to combine. Also where is the best sites on the internet i can get charts, photos, etc... so i can design those airports?Im from scotland and i would like to design some of the highlands and islands airports especially inverness, dundee. In rest of the uk norwich, plymouth, newquay, cardiff, belfast city. In europe rome ciapino, lugano, prevedza, kalamata, kiel, muenster-telgate, plodiv, teneriffe south, las palmas, crotone and in asia ulanbator.I use FS9/FS2004Thankspaul

GMaxhttp://www.turbosquid.com/gmaxIt's rather not easy. You have to read some tutorials, visit discussion boards and do some learning. But looking for easier ways to design airports you want people to be satisfied with makes no sense, if you ask me.Once you master it, satisfaction guaranteed.

I suggest you run the trial version of Flight 1 Instant Scenery. You will scrape up the money. Its the best and easiest there is. If you have a good mind, you can create anything by compounding other objects. I have been building scenery for years without a lick of GMAX knowledge.Instant Scenery

ADE9X has just been released...It is free, and is similar to the venerable AFCAD v2.21 program, but is MUCH more rich and robust in features! After installing it yesterday, it took about six minutes to correct MT84 (Mower Field) in Kalispell, Montana, add a bituminous apron and a three-bay hanger. ;)

BTW Bill,Glad you found out how to add a Generic Building like the 3 bay hangar. It is also Uber easy to add other Generic Buildings to ADE using the Generic Building Manager. If you see a generic building you like at an airport anywhere in the FS world, load the Stock airport in ADE, right click the relevant building, and choose Save Generic Building. It will be added to the Generic Building Manager. If you want a thumbnail, use the Manager to take the pic (see the manual for details). Now you can use it in any of your ADE projects.I know how easy this is, since I was the one that created the current library of FS9 Generic Buildings for ADE 1.45. I just went to LAX and a couple other airports and saved away. :)Hope this helps,
