fmanual thread?

Recommended Posts

Guest Stefan Bergert

Hi everyone! One question: What has happened to the fmanual (737+777) thread? Was it deleted?BTW: Seems as if the swedish webside no longer offers the two manuals - is there an alternative? Why were the files removed (if it's not just my browser)? Thanks for any info,Stefan Bergertsbergert@gmx.netWould really like to thank you if you could help me...

The files were direct copies of Continental Airlines Ops manuals and Avsim taking the side of caution deleted the thread because there was evidence they contained copywrited material.

That stinks. I was almost done with the download too. Any alternate ideas?

Write Continental and ask them to sell you one? That's the only suggestion that I can think of.

Here is what I came up with that seems like a great plan:Boeing 737 Type Rating Training Our competitively priced Boeing 737 Type Rating course is offered for pilots desiring to enhance their airline resume, fulfill a specific hiring requirement or simply add to a professional pilot's certificate. The course is taught by Continental pilots in Continental simulators at our state-of-the-art Pilot Training Facility in Houston, Texas. The two-week course includes: Continental Airlines Boeing 737 Study Guide (Flight Manual) 40-hour primary systems course 8 hours of instruction in a Level 5 Flight Training Device Approximately 16 hours as captain and 16 hours as first officer in the Boeing 737 simulator Simulator instruction by experienced Continental pilots and Check Airmen Air Transport Pilot (ATP) Rating at no additional cost for those who qualify Space available travel to and from Houston on Continental's route system Discounted rates at local Houston hotels Veterans (VA) benefits available to those eligible Prerequisites: Multi-engine Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument Rating No minimum hour requirements for type rating Complete our contact form for more information.https://www.continental.com/contact/trainin...89B689582A57982Sounds like a plan to me! :-)

I've bought 5 manuals from eflightmanuals. They are scans of original manuals and are in PDF format on a CD mailed to you. Printed quality is OK but I had a problem printing every one of them. They use an encryption system so that the manual will only show/print on one machine. On my Dell I could not get the darn thing to print odd or even pages so I can't print them double sided. Important issue since a manual could be over 1000 pages. Still no fix on that and it's been months. I also had a problem with one manual telling me my time had expired so I couldn't even look at it. Fortunately, after emails and phone calls, emanuals sent me a DLL that fixed that problem. And lastly, when I tried to print it would not let me change printers. No fix on that yet either. One manual I got, 737, was scanned in as 8.5 by 11 size even thought the original was 5.5 by 8.5 inches. When printed you get a whole lot of white space around that 5.5 by 8.5 print. I do not know if my problems are unique or wide spread. You will find out if you order from them. They do have a bunch to pick from though and at a reasonable price.Terry
