Beech GPS edit options

Recommended Posts

Guest bvdtol

Hi!I recently bought the PMDG Beech 1900C, but I'm somewhat disappointed. VC looks okay, but the gps lacks a great deal of functionality. Am I doing something wrong (or am I overlooking some possibilities), or is it just not possible to edit the gps database. I want to add some user defined waypoints, but can't find any option for this. Knowing the great performance and edit options in Boeing FMC data, it just came as a great surprise that gps functionality is this limited.Anyone who knows a way to edit gps data for the beech?

Please sign your name to your posts per forum rules. The 1900s were part of an "Express" series of planes - they do not have any in-depth systems modeling the way that the airliners do. The GPS is the FS2004 default GPS.From our site:"The PMDG Express product line is designed to be attractive to flight simulator users who are interested in a less study-intensive simulation experience. PMDG Express products marry highly detailed visual models with realistic flight dynamics and a comprehensive cockpit environment without requiring the user to study for an airline pilot exam."If you want a turboprop that has in-depth systems modeling, get the new J41 when it's released.

You could try and add vasFMC - I don't know what it's like but maybe it would be the solution. Others might chip in on that.Or add a different GPS perhaps. It's a great little plane Tabs, I even flew into Aspen with it with no problems... except fsx saying 'land on 33'.... 'get off the runway, not cleared to land' lol.I've yet to get the glideslope/localiser to show up on it but hey, that adds to the fun.John Ellison
