Last weekend I was lucky enough to see the Battle of Britain memorial flight on route to Biggin Hill, that got me thinking to my FS. So I decided to try to find the planes for FS2002 but there seems to be hardly any in the file library. Can anyone tell me if any of the FS2000 or CFS planes will work with 2002? Or can anyone direct me to some files elsewhere?Regards,Keith

JustFlight's commercial BBMF pack works OK in FS2002 - not the most up to date models on the planet (FSDS-style models designed originally for FS2000 and CFS2, then edited), but they work! ;-)You also get scenery for their home base in that box set, and the Chipmunks that they use for tailwheel aircraft familiarisation and scouting new display locations. I don't have the package installed at the moment, but that's only because I haven't reinstalled everything after a recent FS rebuild.Ian P.:-halo(Edited to correct spelling of the Chippie!!!)

Theres a heap of WW2 warbirds available for 2k2. A lot of the CFS2 models from there will also work in 2k2 with little, if any modification. Usually the changes to CFS2 models are just to add lights & menu entries. Occasionally, Ill tweak the FD or maybe touch up the paint to make em look "restored :-)Heres my warbird list; made up mainly of CFS2 aircraft Ive tweaked to work properly in 2k2. All models have VC's, moving parts etc:Spitfire Mk XIV, (2k2) Simviation/flightsim.comXIVe, IX, VIII, VII (CFS2 conversions)http://rebuffatplanes.free.fr/accueil.php3 Bf109 F2, g6 (CFS2, Rebuffats site)Bf110 (CFS2) Umm, sim-outhouse.com i thinkYak9u (CFS2) - fully 2k2 compatible)http://knifemaker.free.fr/DDD_home.htmFA223 heli (2k2) Flightsim.com/simviation.com - this is a hoot!HE 111 (CFS2 simviation or sim-outhouse)JU52 (2k2 Simviation.com)FW-200 (civil variants, 2k2, simviation.com)Ju88 (various marks, simviation.com & newer ones at sim-outhouse)P36 (2k2 simviation.com)P38 (2k2) http://www.kazoku.org/xp-38n/P40 (CFS2) simviation.com look for Krzysztof Malinowski's vsn2Mosquito (CFS2) flightsim.com I think. I've painted up the Dakota and it's freeware. C47RAF2.ZIP. Most of my own Spitfires in FS are FS2000 aircraft converted for FS2002, but there are plenty of them. As for the Lancaster, try the Alpha Sim one, it's a goody.Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/newlogo.jpg

Keith, Spits and Hurrie's are fairly plentifull for FS2002, however, there are fewer Lanc's. These ones tho i find to be about the best, they are GMAX and are nice and straight forward to repiant in BBMF colors if needs be.Just stick some nice merlin sounds on it and eh voila' ,as they say.The files are all available here at avsim.http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/16316.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/16317.jpghttp://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/trev.jpg

Just for reference, there is a nice pack of Spitfires and Hurricanes over at Aeroplane Heaven:http://www.aeroplaneheaven.com/main_frame3.htmlAlastairPS. Its the Trooping The Colour ceremony to mark the official birthday of Her Majesty the Queen tomorrow, in central London (The Mall). Around 1330 there should be the usual flypast (weather permitting) which may well be the Battle of Britain Flight. Anyone who's been there knows the sound of those 6 Merlins as the planes cruise over Buchingham palace is just awesome ! PPS. Anyone seeing the St. John Ambulance Support Unit lorry there tomorrow, come over and say hi !! We'll be there somewhere from around 0800 to around 1400.
