They've been itching to do this airport for some time. I'll pass on this one as even in those screenshots I don't see much over the freeware version offered here in the Library. You put the free version together with FlyTampa's Kai Tek and the area is done (no need for repeats). The shots look o.k. I guess the FSX crowd could use it but as for me I'm looking forward to their next release which is unknown at this point.

Will VHHH play well with Fly Tampa VHHX? because if it does it's a definite sale for me.ThanksClive

Hi les, thats true they been wanting to do that airport for awhile the free version still looks very good Im not sure if its missing anything compared to the new version imaginesim is making. I dont mind them doing a payware version of it at least we have in option besides the freeware.

Hello Clive, I'm wondering the same thing I really hope so, at least we can check it out when they finish, since they offer demos of there sceneries.

This will be the first one from them that I won't buy. I have all of my traffic directed to FT's Kai Tak and If I wanted to switch to VHHH, I'd use freeware.I really wish they would update Detroit Metro. It is one of their older sceneries, they have a new terminal since the scenery was produced and IT IS THE SECOND LARGEST HUB FOR THE WORLDS LARGEST AIRLINE.Sorry for the caps but usually when Detroit is mentioned in a sentence all that is heard is "blah, blah, crime, blah, blah, poor, blah, don't go there, Lions suck, blah, blah..." We may be the red-headed step child of the United States, but by golly, we do have a nice airport!

I'd much rather see them do KDTW as well and you can throw KEWR on the list. VHHH really needs nothing else for that area unless one just likes spending money for an alternative option with marginal advantages. The only thing based on Imaginesim's recent history that I could see different from the freeware version is moving vehicles around the airport. For the record they'd shoot themselves in the foot big time if they don't make this thing compatible with Fly Tampa's effort. Like what was mentioned above most people have already moved their traffic (if they are remotely into Kai Tak and aviation history) to one of the greatest airports ever built. Least we not forget now we have an outstanding freeware version of Kowloon Bay as well... Kai Tak is legendary for aviation period not just commercial. Don't get me wrong I know there's always simmers out there that have nothing for this area. Just the same who wouldn't rather fly a 744 into a detailed Kai Tak instead of the straight easy approaches of VHHH? I can't see Kai Tak simmers moving all their traffic back to VHHH for this effort that's why (at least for me) a freeware VHHH fits the bill for the area but all the action is at Kai Tak for nostalgia purposes... It may not be realistic but in this case having a legend in FS9 is too much to pass up even if the real world location is no longer there... We've asked for this airport for years and I'm sure we've all had experiences in the past when talking about FS to others where we're asked have we flown the Kai Tak approach. Now that Kai Tak is fully realized VHHH takes a back seat no matter who produces it. Let's hope we can put a big enough bug in Imaginsim's ear to update KDTW and KEWR which for many of us their time would be better served.

Jeff, with all respect, but I don't think it is a reason for any developer to take care of a particular airport.And, of course, it has nothing to do with the fact you're from Detroit. :( On the contrary, I like the VHHH screenshots and for me it will be the first scenery to buy from ImagineSim.Not that I don't like Thomas Kwong's scenery, but I'm sure there WILL be a difference (plus keep in mind these are not pictures of a fnished scenery).

Fantastic. I think your old DTW was the first scenery I installed in to FS2000 (that was you wasn't it).Any chance of the possible new DTW being FSX and AES compatible?

To hear about a possible new KDTW is really good news! I have been looking forward to that for a long time. Would be wonderful to have an up to date home airport.
