September 13, 200916 yr I have basically the same system as you except I overclocked my Core 2 Duo from 2.66 to 3.2 GHz and overclocked the 8800GT a bit. That alone improved my MD-11 performance by 10 FPS. I would also advise you to checkout Windows 7 over Vista for performance reasons. I'm running GEX UTX ASA and REX and at most all default FSX airports with no traffic I get 30-40 FPS. Payware airports and traffic can drop it to the low 20s but low 20s is very much flyable.I wouldn't worry about the lack of an advanced tutorial either...the MD-11 has an excellent starter tutorial and the manuals fill in most of the rest of the blanks. - Jason Pharis

DO you think I'll get 10-20? Cause I have 50% Traffic. And I havnt overclocked.Sanji
September 13, 200916 yr But I can only get ONE for now.. meaning a while. Which is the hardest decision.I recommend the PMDG MD-11, I own both the LVLD and the MD-11 and on my system I get better frames with the MD-11. And the MD-11 also looks better visually, and has better systems.Kevin W.

If I had to guess though assuming you weren't maxing out your scenery sliders you would see in the 15-25 FPS range.I'd also point out the MD-11 comes with a performance adjuster that I haven't touched much but if I needed the boost I know I have some room there as well. Others might could speak to how much of a difference that makes. - Jason Pharis

September 13, 200916 yr Commercial Member Sanji,if you still can't decide between the MD-11 and the Level-D 767, here something for your consideration:Are you a VC flyer? If yes then you'll be happier using the MD-11. Since the 767 does show it's age you will not get a VC as nice as the MD-11's, for example the overhead panel is all flat, no 3D buttons. No big thing of course, however visually the 767 definitely can't compete with the MD-11.My suggestion: If you can only get one airplane at this time, get the MD-11 now, then get the new plane from Level-D once available (B757).Regards,Markus Markus Burkhard
September 15, 200916 yr Thanks for your comments guys!SO do you think I should get the lds 767 first then wait for a better instruction manual for the md-11? :) (Do you think the LDS will handle fine on my system??)SanjamI will suggest you to wait until PMDG delivers the promissed tutorial N. 2 for the MD-11, otherwise you will have a lot of pages to read in the different manuals to properly operate the plane.Edward

Your post was no doubt more helpful than mine, but I couldn't resist. :( Paul
