CRJ's parked at the gate????

How can a CRJ park at a gate? Wouldn't their fuse-door make it a little hard for passengers to get on, let alone allow the jetway to connect to the plane? Anyone know how this works without leaving a huge gap between the plane and the gate b/c of the swing-down door?

The door is opened before the gate is moved onto the aircraft. It's the same way the f28's do it.Cheers, Joel

yea i know they open the door before they gate pull up to the a/c, but wouldn't the railings to the door hinder the gate from connecting with the plane?

They add a little walkway between the jetway and the crj. Its kinda thin but allows you to get on the plane without having to jump the gap between the jetway and the plane door. The jetway definitely cannot attach to the plane like larger airliners.
