Flight Time Calculator doesn't work.

Recommended Posts

Hi all,I've just downloaded and installed the Flight Time calculator by Franck Krieger. It doesn't work! I launch F2002, double-click the icon and ... absolutely nothing. Normally I'd write to the author but he hasn't included any contact details. Has anyone else had problems with this program? I'm running on XP Home. There's no attached readme or any installation instructions of any kind. Without wishing to point any fingers at AvSim shouldn't there be some sort of check that any uploads contains a readme or some form of installation instructions? Thanks.

Hi Fred,Avsim policy requires a readme of some type in any uploads, and requires some contact information in that readme. Thanks for the confirmation; this one seems to have slipped through the net. :-) I've downloaded and installed an earlier version of this chap's software but the problem persists. I did think it might require FS2002 to be running but after loading it the program still won't work. Shame really as it looks a useful piece of work.I'm sure I'm not alone in having problems. If you have a contact address for him any chance you could post it please? Thanks.

Hi Ray!I have experienced exactly the same problem, and thus have corresponded with Franck Krieger. I cannot get the latest version 1.4.2 to work on my P4-2.6GHz-WinXP system. Franck's e-mail is "krieger@easyconnect.fr" He has so far not been able to provide a solution. I fully concur concerning the lack of any documentation.Regards,David RamseyDenmark

Hi David,Thanks for his address but I received a private mail last night with it.I've had some correspondence with Franck tonight and despite his help and suggestions I have been unable to get Flight Time Calculator to run. Whilst I appreciate his help I have to say that this suggestion "uncheck all your non-Windows programs extensions which are normally started when Windows starts, and see if FTC still doesn't run." is not very helpful and I don't feel I should have to do it.I intend writing back to him and suggesting in future he requests some beta testers to make sure his program works before releasing it to the public. In the meantime if anyone manages to get it working I'll be very interested to know how they did it.Cheers,
