September 28, 200916 yr Hi RTH,1. We've been discussing mapping drives, but maybe I should have been writing about sharing drives across your network. On your server machine when you look at your FSX drive is there a hand icon holding the drive? Same for your application data folder and your FSX folder.2. You want your network IP address and not your IP Address that you connect to the Internet with. For that go to Control Panel/Network Connections and right click on your Local Area Connection and click on Status. In the new pop up window click on the Support tab and your network IP address will be shown. That is the value you want to use in all your configuration files. Thanks,
September 29, 200916 yr Author Thank you so much for your kind and patient help Jim. The assistance by contributors like you is what sets FlightSim apart as a unique and wonderful community of which to be a small part. Also please forgive my ignorance concerning the IP Address. That was my problem.Yes, I show hand held Icons on the drives and the folders you specified as well as those which were applicable to FS9..I changed my IP Address as you advised, and ASA/FSX now seems to communicate and update just fine.Immediately after starting up ASA, then FSX, I now have a message that scrolls over my server FSX display that says: "ASA is beginning initial weather depiction. Please stand by." A moment later I see my altimeter change thanks to the updated barometric pressure, and cloud cover change.Again, please accept my thanks. Your assistance is very greatly appreciated.Respectfully:RTH Hi RTH,1. We've been discussing mapping drives, but maybe I should have been writing about sharing drives across your network.
