Aerosoft titles at Best Buy

Got a copy today! Also to that naive PMDG guy.....Its really funny to watch you complain about how you're arguing that becasue the price has been dropped, the 747 is not an F-lite toy. Im glad it dropped. I could never afford the thing and now i can. Am i an inexperienced "kid" becasue i bought it for less than half of what you bought it for? No! Price doesnt make presitige. To bad so Sad go cry yourself a river. I do agree with your ecomonimc stand point though. Since demand drops for a product, the price should gradually drop....not a 60 percent drop.....however i am glad it did....finally!

I sent the whats up with my order email and got a email back in 2 minutes that said if I would like to cancel this order to call...I called and asked Ben the CS rep whats up. He said I show it on backorder. I said I have seen that for the last 2 weeks and my avsim friend just bought this off the shelf over in Michigan. He said let me check. Then said I dont show any store near you with this product on the shelf. I said thats why im ordering it from you online Ben. He said all you can do is keep checking. Thanks Ben for your support. I know just as much now as I did 5 minutes ago.Showboat

What did you want him to do, wave a magic wand and make your back order become filled? Drive yourself to Michigan and buy a copy!

...or Rhode Island and get one too.(Warwick has 'em in stock... and now one fewer with my purchase)Considering PMDG didn't offer an FS2004 -> FSX upgrade pricing path (even if it was a "completely new product"), getting this at $30 isn't really a coup for those who invested in the earlier edition. I didn't buy the freight version at that time though, so bonus! Now I'll sit back and wait for the MD-11 to come around in a year or two, and complete the collection. For those doubting, it is indeed the PMDG model. The PMDG logo is prominent on the box, as is the Boeing Licensed Product logo. The disc is artfully labeled and actually refers to the product as the PMDG 747-400X Last but not least, the readme which pops up with the EULA states that it is v2.10.0040 (May 27, 2008), which is the latest version per the PMDG website. The manuals, liveries, extras... she's authentic, my friends. Off to fly!-Greg(Note: It doesn't include the massive slew of liveries available online, but a good handful)

Awwww...But Jim, I used my gas money from California to Michigan to buy Active Sky Advanced from YOU the other day!..All im doing here is giving an update to the situation that has been going on for 2 weeks. Best Buy offered the product at the reduced price and I ordered it.They backordered it once a week for two weeks and im just reporting the current situation is all Jim.I love all PMDG products for FS9 and have the B1900 C/D and all four 737's. I had the Queen for FS9 and now want it for FSX to use on some ASHA flights to get some of those pretty ribbons at Air Source.

  • 3 weeks later...

LOL, I was just about to purchase this bird directly from PMDG's website, I'd get mega screwed if I didn't check the Christmas thread. Perfect, running to the store. :D

I wonder if noob BB customers will buy this thinking its a 747 simulation WITHOUT owning FSX ROFL!!
That'll happen a lot.I get this with FS2Crew once in a while. They'll buy the PMDG 747 Edition of FS2Crew not knowing that they need to own the PMDG 747 aircraft first, in spite of what the requirements say.It always makes for an interesting support email.I usually just let them swap the thing for a default plane version and everyone is happy.Thing to remember is not every FS addon buyer is an experienced Flight Sim user or tech type. So sometimes they make honest mistakes owing to the fact they're simply new to the whole thing.
