Zoom and view angle settings

Recommended Posts

When you are in 2D cockpit view, you can use <+> and <-> to zoom the view in and out. You can also use + and + to move your point of view up and down.Is there a way to 'save' what these are set to? If I set the 2D cockpit view to 0.5 zoom, change the view to something else (eg. spot plane) and go back to 2D cockpit again, it's back to 1.0 zoom! Thanks in advance.

Hi Andy29Yes - there is an easy way to save these parameters.I your "Panel.cfg" file near the top right after the "Windows Titles" you will se a views section. If it isn't there paste it from here. Remember to use SCUARE BRAKES.Value 1 is default. The "VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8" section is here set to 0.8. That whatypur plane will use as default zoom factor. Change the value to your satisfaction, and you don't need to reset the zoom every time you have been to spot plane view. The first valu in "VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=6.0". This value is used to set the amount of looking up/dn (Shift-Enter / Shift-backspace). The larger value the more you look up.Hope this helps.(Window Titles)Window00=CommanderWindow01=Radio StackWindow02=GPSWindow03=ZoomFixed Window30=Forward RightFixed Window31=RightFixed Window32=Rear RightFixed Window33=RearFixed Window34=Rear LeftFixed Window35=LeftFixed Window36=Forward LeftFixed Window37=Up(VIEWS)VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=0,RADIO_STACK_PANEL,GPS_PANEL,120VIEW_FORWARD_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_FORWARD_DIR=6.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=30VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 45.0VIEW_RIGHT_WINDOWS=31VIEW_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_RIGHT_EYE=0.0, -0.1, 0.0VIEW_RIGHT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 90.0VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_WINDOWS=32VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_EYE=0.0, -0.1, -0.8VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 135.0VIEW_REAR_WINDOWS=33VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=1.0VIEW_REAR_EYE=0.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_REAR_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 180.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_WINDOWS=34VIEW_REAR_LEFT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_REAR_LEFT_EYE=0.0, -0.1, 0.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 225.0VIEW_LEFT_WINDOWS=35VIEW_LEFT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_LEFT_EYE=0.0, -0.1, 0.0VIEW_LEFT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 270.0VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_WINDOWS=36VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_ZOOM=0.8VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 315.0VIEW_UP_WINDOWS=37VIEW_UP_DIR=-30.0, 0.0, 0.0The above example are takes from Milton Shupes Aero Commander.RegardsHenrik KorningBGGH
