A Couple of Bugs I Have Heard Of - First Bugs

Recommended Posts

From good authority (a.k.a.Betaman) I am informed that:1. In our fantasy Gatesland world, the Chesapeake Bay Bridge is missing, invisible or under water.2. The red line that enables spot plane view from different positions is not available even though the help file still instructs to use it.Come next month I will see for myself.

John, he has a good point there, look what M$ did to P.E.I, it was underwater, untill a fellow made a fix, so if The Bay Bridge is underwater, its a bug.

If the honest reporting of Bugs in FS 9 is trolling, I guess I am a troll. But I do get a whole month jump to try out FS9 on Betaman's PC. OK, I will keep the bug reports to myself if they are not appreciated. By the way, I see FS9 as only a modest upgrade to FS 2002. OK, some better weather, better ATC, more detailed scenery. But, so what? The frame rates are the same. The same old tired lessons. A few new old time aircraft, DC3, Ryan, Wilbur's No. 1. God, I flew at least one of those beasts. I must be an old troll.I will get in the car and drive over to Betaman's house now for the transparent clouds if nothing else. Goodbye.Old Troll and very old USN carrier piloto.

Hi Pocamadre,Just curious about this statement...I see FS9 as only a modest upgrade to FS 2002. OK, some better weather, better ATC, more detailed scenery. But, so what? The frame rates are the same. The same old tired lessons. A few new old time aircraftWhat then, would be a "significant" upgrade to FS2002 in your opinion? I think the key word from your post above is I. See, I see better weather, better ATC, more detailed scenery, V-cockpits where you can work the gauges a significant upgrade. If it costs me a few extra frames here and there, oh well - I'll cope and bring some other slider down a bit to make up for it. Do you honestly expect that the MAJOR improvements in the weather engine and scenery wouldn't cause a frame rate loss? At the end of the day, it's not the d-a-m-n-e-d FPS counter that matters, it's how smooth the thing flies. To each his own!!Mikehttp://www.members.shaw.ca/madamo/boeingsig.jpg

Yep--trolling.... Your first post here, and knocking a sim that's not even in release yet. I'm glad you know "betaman". Must make you very speshul.... I bet no one else in this forum is as lucky as you are (since you've seen the beta, that is).... I am sorry we will miss your reports having offended you so--guess I have to wait a whole month. What to do? :)

Its someone who:1. Makes a negative, provocative first post.2. Makes repeated pointless, negative, and provocative posts.3. Makes posts intentionally to keep an existing troll-post on top.4. Makes personal-attack posts5. Makes negative posts about something they don't know much about.6. Makes a negative post in a thread of positives, just to have the satisfaction of breeding negativity. In actuallity its not the troll's action that is most dissapointing, its the "troll-ish" behavior they often seem to evoke in otherwise upstanding members of the community. This post isn't a reflection on the current thread, I was just trying to answer your question.

The reason they call a version of a program "Beta" and the reason they don't want people who have it discussing it is that it is not a complete verison. In the case of FS2004, the red line you use to adjust your position from the spot view is there, its just not in the Beta version (I have the Gold version). As far as the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, I don't have any idea where that is (I live on the west coast). I did check my Rand-McNally maps, but there is no Chesapeake Bay Bridge shown. There is a William P. Lane Jr Memorial Bridge and a Chesapeake Bay Tunnel listed, but no bridge.Bear!

Unless the bridge is under water, then he'd be called a sea-troll. Or maybe a wet-troll. Does anybody know what resolution the real world is?? I would say it's at least 1600x1200x32. Unless you happen to live under a bridge that's underwater, then I suppose it'd be closer to 640x480x32. Does anyone else refer to "chicken" as "land carp"??There, now this is a perfect example of what a "troll" is!! Now that that's clear, what's the real deal with FS2k4?

Also, a troll is someone who posts to offend and get everybody upset. This post is definetly NOT a troll. He is just trying to give us information-hungry-pre-fs2004'ers some inside information. I for one appreciate this.
