All my traffic in FSX has disappeared!

Featured Replies

Hi all,I wonder if anyone has any ideas on this problem;I've no idea how it happened but at some point, all of my traffic (aircraft, not ground or road vehicles) has completely disappeared!Regardless of where I set the traffic slider at (1% - 100%) there is no longer any traffic displaying in the sim, at any airports. Even at very busy airports like EGLL or KJFK, with traffic set at 100%, there is not a single AI aircraft !I have 'My Traffic X' installed, although for the last few months I have had traffic set at 0%. Hence, I don't know exactly when this problem occurred, as I have only just tried turning Traffic back on.I tried de-activating 'My Traffic X' (it appears in the FSX scenery library) to see if the default FSX traffic would be restored, but there is still no trafffic at all.I checked and My Traffic X is still showing in the list of programs installed on my PC.All of my software is genuine, and it's the boxed version of My Traffic X that I am using. I can't try a re-install at present as I am in the middle of a house move and all of my boxed FS software is in a box in a storage unit 40 miles from my home!Any ideas ?Thanks,Davido.

Have you used the "Communicator" to go onto the MyTrafficX website and click on the option to restore default traffic? You can do all kinds of configurations by using the website. If you deleted your FSX.cfg, it might have also removed the MyTraffic line required in the config. If you disabled MyTrafficX in the scenery library, you won't have ANY traffic as your default traffic .bgl was renamed to trafficaircraft.orig or something like that. Look in your FSX/scenery/world/scenery folder for trafficaircraft.bgl or .orig. Rename if necessary.Best regards,Jim

HelloCheck that this line exists in your FSX.cfg SimObjectPaths.6=MyTraffic\AircraftYou can use the MYTraffic Communicator to add it again

Thanks to you both for the help. My FS PC can not connect to the internet right now, for the 'communicator' but I will check out the other suggestions, for the fsx.cfg and the trafficaircraft.orig / bgl/Davido.
