PMDG MD-11 force feedback problem

Recommended Posts

Ok so this is my problem: I switch the autopilot on after takeoff, but when i take my hands off the joystick, the force feedback starts to swing the joystick around. And because of this, the autopilot switches off and my plane falls from the sky :( . So are there any ways i can eliminate this? I really don't like flying without any 'resistance' in the joystick.P.S. I'm using teh Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick.I would really appreciate any help :(

There is an IR sensor on the joystick handle, just below the knuckle of your little finger, that is supposed to detect when you have released the joystick and so disconnect the force-feed back motors. Try holding the joystick at the top with just thumb and first finger, if the motors are still active, this sensor is faulty. P.S. You need to sign your posts with your real name or you risk having then deleted.
