FS2004 liveries in FSX

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question: I just got a brand new copy of the PMDG 747X from Bestbuy, and I find that the liveries I ahd hoped to use are for the FS2004 version. I was wondering if these liveries will also work on the 747X, or are they only good for the FS2004 version of the 747?

You can get the FSX liveries free at the pmdg web site. The two are not interchangeable.

I was actually hinting at liveries over at the file library of flightsim.com. Most of them are for the FS9 version of the 747, not for the FSX version. I take it they will not work for the 747X?

Okay. In that case I'll simply try it out and see what happens. Thanks for answering so quickly!

FS9 liveries will not work for the FSX version. If you search in the FSX section of the Avsim library, you'll find some there I believe.

Tried it ou: it does work, but the liveries are odly dark and I'd like to know what causes it. In principle, it all fits on the plane and there's no problem in that department. When I some time, I'll post a screenshot so you can see what I mean. I've had this problem with more FS2004 liveries I tried in FSX. All work, but the fuselage is very dark, while all moving parts have the normal color. Oh, and the part of the fuselage that is "on the sunside" seems to have the regular color too.

Right, I have some screenshots now that outlines the problem perfectly. Did anybody have this problem too, and if so, does anybody know what to do?2009-11-10_22-53-32-827.jpg2009-11-10_22-53-41-124.jpg2009-11-10_22-53-56-343.jpg
