Hi Tim - I tried sending you a PM. Just wondering if you are using the lighting mod? I tried downloading it but the link is broken and have not been able to find it. Can you send it to me? My email address is maxam (at) telus.netI would like to try the mod as the VC is completely dark while flying at night and turning the OHead light is not good.I fixed the issues I had with the 757 and updated the RR sound files with a download from Christoffer Petersen of TSS fame and it sounds fantastic. Not sure if you have it but you should give it a try.Best,Robert

Hey Robert,What lighting mod are you talking about? I haven't heard in any lighting mod for the VC of the CS757 but would be very interested in one... Is this for FSX or FS9? I just want to be able to fly with a dark VC at night in FS9...Thanks,-Paul

Hi Paul - This post spoke about a VC mod and was as it seems to have been uploaded at the CS site at one time or another. This overview shot shows backlit gauges and alternate flood lighting. I believe it is for FSX although it may work in the FS9 VC, it does mention 2D view...anyone care to comment?I found it difficult on final flying in the dark which is why I fly over 99% of my flights during the day. I was flying from Vancouver, BC to Varadero, Cuba as my brother was flying down yesterday and I beat his real flight by 15 minutes, I used Sunwing's route from last weeks flight and I guess they should have stuck to it.

I know the lighting mod you're talking about, the one for the 757, right? Made by Necroscope? I would PM him from the CS forum. Since they got the night lighting fixed in the 767, and that's what I've been flying, I haven't given it much thought. I tried installing the mod for the 757, but I think you have to be pretty techinically savvy for that. I was not successful. Maybe Captain Sim will come out with the same fix they did for their 767 for the 757.Until then, I really dislike flying the 757 in the dark, and that was my biggest beef in my review of same. And I'll clean out my mailbox :( (Waiting for the McPhat ultra high def paints before I get back to the 757.)

Hi Tim - Yes it was made by Necroscope and Cthulhus I cannot PM either of them through the CS forum because they removed thier contact info. I will try to install CS767 and see if I can copy the gauges into the 757, not sure if that will work though. If you still have the .zip could you email it to me?Thanks,Robert

I am sorry, but that got trashed after my unsuccessful attempt to install it. I had not realized it had disappeared along with the creators.

No problem, I posted at CS and they fixed the download link to Necroscope's .zip. I will give it a try and post back here. I asked CS if they were planning on an update to the CS757 fixing the night lighting issue. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Managed to install the mod and it looks great, did a little head scratching when I had to edit the aircraft.cfg, everything else seemed straightforward though. Follow the instructions and you should not have a problem
