Throttle axis for reverse?

Recommended Posts

I have a (not yet used) Saitek throttle quadrant and saw that the lower portion of the axis is meant for thrust reverse. Is there a way to assign variable reverse to a portion of the axis within FSX directly, or ist that possible only with the specific software for the throttle quadrant?Andreas

All the levers have a detent at the bottom, where there is a subtle click in the motion of the lever, this detent can be assigned as a button. For thrust reversers in a heavy jet assign them to "decrease throttle quickly" and then when you are on the runway after landing simply move the lever to that detent and your thrust reversers will come on.

Using the "decrease throttle" button command, you can increase the amount of reverse thrust, but the only way to decrease the reverse thrust is to move the throttle lever forward, which will put you back into idle.Fsuipc (registered) has an axis throttle setting that allows for a reverse range, but I have not tried that as using the "button" works well enough for me.scott s..

I use the CH throttle quadrant with a registered copy of FSUIPC, and it works great with variable reverse thrust.
