November 24, 200916 yr I notice, flying from Chennai (VOMM), ATC is clearing AI a/c to 'VOHS' instead of 'Hyderabad' (Rajiv Gandhi International). Not a huge annoyance I suppose, but I'd like to know how to fix it. The name 'Hyderabad' exists in EditVoicePack, and it is filled in correctly in the Airport Properties of the AFCAD, so I am not sure what to do. Why is ATC using the ICAO? Thanks for any help.Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)

Thanks for any help.MartinThat's because as far as Flight Simulator 2004 is concerned, Hyderabad is VOHY and it will only speak what it knows. VOHS is a new airport and therefore you must be using an add-on.You can create additional airport names by installing the Editvoicepack software and creating them. One such as VOHS would be the simplest to make as you would only have to copy VOHY.John My co-pilot's name is Sid and he's a star! http://www.adventure-unlimited.org
November 24, 200916 yr Author Ah yes, of course. I'd assumed (wrongly) that if ATC recognises VOHY as Hyderabad, it would also recognise VOHS. I make new callsigns OK in EditVoicePack, as and when needed, but have never done this particular procedure. I'm sure I'll work it out - I'll post back if not! Thanks,Martin Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
November 28, 200916 yr Author Well it took me a while to get round to doing this, but now I have I see why I wasn't 100% confident. In EditVoicePack, I looked under Standard Modifications/Airports/Aisa/India, but there are only two ICAO codes there. How do I copy VOHY to VOHS, as I can't find any entry for VOHY in EVP at all? EVP doesn't contain all the default ATC sounds, does it, only any modifications? At least that's what I'd understood.Thanks,M. Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
November 28, 200916 yr Author .. well, I just created an entry from scratch. Not sure what was meant by "copy from VOHY" I'm afraid, but no matter. Martin Stebbing, EGLF (UK)
