Band of water near Avsim base

Featured Replies

Hi all,I am new to the FS community but thanks to the great help of this website and its articles/reviews, I have built quite the world. To the topic: After installing the Naji Chehabeddine's Avsim base as a scenery I went for a flight to check it out. Well, about 2 miles south of the runway, I noticed a 1km wide band (totally straight edges) of water texture that runs 65 degrees for what seems like forever(I took my Lago F16 out to try to chase down the end of it but never found it) It runs right over any terrain, no mater what elevation. I had never flown ths area of Alaska so I have no idea when it was caused. I have Denney's Alaska mesh installed.Anybody else seen this? Or does somebody know how I screwed it up?Thanks, I'll see ya in the skies!RangerJack "Recognizing that I volunteered to be a Ranger..."

hi ranger, There's a fix in the library for it. It's called N70fix.zip I suggest you head down to the Bush Flying Unlimited forums and Naji and the guys will help you through your growing pains. Always room for one more!joe

joe, thanks! that is what I like about this community.RangerJack"Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger..."

Ok, well that was not it. Thnaks for the heads up on that file though. Here is small pic of what is going on, I will head to Naji's site as well. Sorry the pic might be too small, just trying to follow the forum law:)

Howdy,By any chance are you using any Alaskan LandClass files? If so, remove the following from your FS scenery folder: Angoon, Auke Bay, Catham, Juneau, Kake, Elfin Cove, Gustavas, Hoonah, and Tenakee. These are possibly the cause of this water band (or so it's been reported).

Cap. Havoc,Thanks..that was it. Ranger!!

Pics can be a little larger than that ;-)800 X 600 max.http://saltydogfly2.avsim.net/images/avsim_sig.jpg"I am the keeper of the cheese; you are the lemon merchant"
