loading pmdg 747-400X to XPS with Window 7

Recommended Posts

HiI am having some issues with pmdg 747-400X on my new xps Window 7 pc. I get so far loading when I get this message: " Your FSX version is more recent than FSX SP 1. This product was tested primarily using FSX-SP1, Acceleration and SP2. " I am totally a beginner with Flight Sim./ altho' I have read a lot and understand much about flying- although my pc skills are lacking badly.What/ why does my newer version of FSX have that causes so much disarray. My BIG 747 looks like it's in pieces sometimes; and the altitude will not increase using the + and - sign. The number in the window will always decrease. ....many buttons and switches do not respond accordingly.Beginner with a big desire to learn HOW TO fly this monster airplane.

Please sign your full name to posts in this forum.Don't worry about that message, just make sure you have SP1 & SP2 (Service Pack) installed. (If you have FSX GOLD installed no need for either SP1 or SP2). As for the knobs, they all have a sweet spot, in most cases left and right of the knob. For the Alt - is to the left and + is to the right. Some times there may be other things accessible in the same area so the sweet spot may not be as big (example, the heading knob and bank angle selector), so you need to just play around with it and you'll get the hang of it. Hope this helps.
