December 15, 200916 yr What a beautiful departure.God speed Boeing 1!The sheer power at the takeoff roll was astonishing, that thing was rolling like a 757 on steroids at TOGA.The wing flex also caught my eye. The wings flex just like they do in boeing's artwork, It's really interesting looking. I thought I was just imagining it, and then I asked a buddy of Mine, he said he noticed how intensely the wings were flexing too.
December 15, 200916 yr What an awesome sight that was - gorgeous airplane! Now for the first landing :) Regards, Mark
December 15, 200916 yr Sorry, guys. I wasn't able to be at PAE due to last minute issues. I saw the flight on TV though and the 787 is beautiful!

I have a couple pictures of the 787 taxiing back towards the Boeing ramp though. The Dreamliner is definitely one of the most graceful airliners I've ever seen.

The Dreamliner is definitely one of the most graceful airliners I've ever seen.I'm dreading the day that I get transferred to Everett for logistical reasons. The drive from and to Spanaway every day would be terrible. However, this is one day I wished I WAS up there if only to see this. She's an absolutely beautiful aircraft, and I have to say, I got a little choked up watching the live feed. I tried to share my enthusiasm with family, but all they could say was "It looks like any other commercial jet". Tsk, tsk. At least you guys understand. :D "No matter how eloquent you are or how solidly and firm you've built your case, you will never win in an argument with an idiot, for he is too stupid to recognize his own defeat." ~Anonymous.
