Cockpit views changed after installing SP1 (and 2)

Recommended Posts

I'm fairly new to FSX and just upgraded my computer so it would run okay. After learning about the service patches I eagerly download and installed them. They seem to work fine except for one issue with the cockpit view. When you hit the "w" key twice so that all you see is outside the plane I'm still seeing the plane when I look out the sides or back. Before installing the patches all you see is the outside regardless of where you are looking. Is this supposed to be this way? I tried several different planes and they are all the same. If anyone knows what to do or needs a better explanation of the problem (as I said I'm pretty new to FSX) please let me know.Thanks.

I believe the problem you described started when they released SP1. It was never fixed and the only way would be to remove SP1 and SP2.I think the benefits of installing the service packs outweigh the "W" key problem IMHO.Todd

Yes, SP1 "fixed" the problem of not being able to see the aircraft insides when you turned past 45

Thanks for the replies guys.I also saw on another forum that this is a known bug. Guess I'll have to play around a bit to decide if I want to keep the service packs installed. I just got used to looking at the whole outside in FS9.
