I am giving thought to buying it for fsx. Thanks for the reviews and thanks to the fellow with 4500 hrs it it.....I've flown for a living like a number of others here and really like to hear from someone who has some time in the actual machine. Well, I'm not an aircraft modeller myself but when I fly PMDG MD-11 for example and switch to 'side views', there IS a noticeable loadtime for the VC textures.

That's a valid point indeed, never even thought of that! That's basically the only point the VC view needs to be rendered when flying from the 2D view.

Cool but doesn't it taxi nervously? I hope not, lol. I did have some addon planes that did.And it wasn't a question of my CH pedals' sensitivity, as it works fine on the others.

Unfortunately it does taxi quite poorly. The steering seems to be digital in that it is either on or off and isn't progressive at all. Also the aircraft will seem to roll over, even on the most gentle of turns. It's pretty much the only thing that I dislike about the package though and can easily be overlooked given how amazing the rest of it is. I should imagine it would be fairly easy to tweak the nosewheel steering somehow if it was too major a problem.

I have CH peddles and throttle.I have had no problems with taxi ,ERJv2 SP1, Slow, med , fast, braking turns, exiting runway, ... all works just great.No tendency to roll over at all.I monitor taxi from cockpit and spot ... no problems.

Has anyone tried it in Windows 7? The biggest concern would be the configuration tool.

I've used this bird on W7 during the development of those textures and found no problem with it. cheers!

I have to say after a long time of not caring too much for the releases from this DEV, they nailed this one. I've been reading feedback and looking at photos, and decided to give them another shot, as there was a time I've been very satisfied with their releases in the past The autopilot works beautifully, the textures in the VC are 100% better, and all systems seem to work as they should. I've only taken the ERJ145LR on a short hop from KSEA to CYVR and was for the first time in a long time, immersed in a very satisfying flight. Well done Feelthere! I also converted any 4mb textures to DXT3 for my own performance boost as my system is getting old by todays standards. Even before I did that, it still was flyable in every sense from a performance hit standpoint. Even with the cabin it doesn't hit my system that badly. I would have liked to see an option that allows VC only/ No Cabin, but haven't seen that in the setup anywhere like the older products. Nice job again guys. :)

I have a problem in that I am on dial up and when I went to check this morning I found I still had 21 hours to go (normally no problem with free download manager) as I download thru night. But then there is no way to pick up the download again so I am stuck with apprx 30% of the plane downloaded,Help please
