Nvidia 195.62. Please comment

Recommended Posts

I see Nvidia just released the 195.62 drivers. Please comment on the installation and running in FSX for Windows 7. I would love to hear from someone who has upgraded to these drivers. Are they worth installing? Do they make a real difference? Thanks.Stan

If you want NV to "do something special with their drivers for MSFS" you should contact NV directly. If you think they are monitoring these forums, you are deluding yourself.

It's too bad that Nvidia doesn't do something SPECIAL for FSX.
As I said in another forum, Nvidia and AMD/ATI stopped putting any thought of FSX in new driver revisions a long time ago, it

They are beta drivers and available for download from nVIDIA.

It is a shame, but what djt01 said is very true, at least WRT to FS. PC gaming as a whole will never die altogether, it's still incredibly popular, just not as profitable as console gaming. That's a whole separate discussion though.

I thought of a concept quite a few years ago that to this day shocks me has not come to pass, and it is quite simply this:MS (or Apple for that matter) should come out with a console designed to occupy the same slot as a typical internal CD or DVD drive for your PC. Build the interface that would allow you to connect to the PC's keyboard, USB ports, other controllers, Video Display (only the display, since all content is developed for the console platform itself). I don't know--is that already the case with Xbox? This alone would have had me considering purchasing XBoxPC or what have you. Then, from one physical location, you could use your PC or console, and of course purchase console games to use. To me this was a true no-brainer, if only to help resistant types (like me!) make a transition to console use. I tried to contact MS on this years ago, but never had the calls returned. I had this idea when "Media Center" edition showed up, as it made me think an integrated console would be a true application of "Media Center".Noel
