A/P and FMC

Recommended Posts

Hey guys I noticed that when I program my 747's FMC like the distance and speed at a certain time is not working properly. I'm a beginner and I don't know the right buttons to press. For example: VICUV - 180/3000It doesn't seem to to end-up at that speed or 3000 I don't know what I'm doing wrong, please help! -Andrew

Please sign your full name in this forum.Assuming you already have VICUV in the flight plan, go to LEGS page and enter 180/3000 in the scratch pad. Press the side button on the right side on the line that VICUV appears. Press EXEC.Plan on a couple of weeks to learn the FMS is this is your first experience with one. You have to read the FMC Users Guide, and you should fly the tutorials that can be found in the PMDG Ops wiki location.

Keep in mind the FMS wont get your plane to fly beyond it's limits. To fly slower than 240 knots you will need to deploy your flaps. You should see your target speed decrease after that. For 180 knots you will need something like 10 or 20
