'Real' pilots and FSX

I see sooooooooooooo much 'advice' about real world flying as it relates to FSX, and about 70-80% is, to be generous, bunk.I know a few here who are 'real' pilots, but I was wondering how many others are and just don't mention itMaybe we can get a list here and give some credibility to the 'advice' given?Here's my history, whats your's?Commercial- Instrument- Multiengine (SEL/MEL)Licensed in 1970

I have my PPL with Instrument priviledges, and went all through the groundwork for ground instructor, commercial, and instrument instructor. I didn't finish the flying part for commercial. I stopped a few hours short. I use the sim for keeping my head in the clouds both figuratively, and in the sim. I love flying in the clouds.Edit: I forgot. I went to the Ottumwa Iowa part 141 flight school, better known as college. KOTM. I finished up in 1994.

Student pilot in Cessna 172's in 1968. Let the idea lapse for 20 years (got married) before going back & finishing. Actively worked at aerobatics, multi, and IFR in the mid 90's before deciding to get into kit building and the Experimental Aircraft Association. Built and currently fly a Van's RV6A. ---- 180HP Lycoming, Hartzell constant speed prop, oxygen system, and two axis auto-pilot. FWIW------ When you get a new "plastic" pilot certificate, to replace the old paper variety............................. the issuance date is reset to the "new" date of applying for the plastic license. This new date will show up in the current pilot data-bases. It can be mis-leading, as news organizations will even look up these dates for a developing story on accidents, etc.L.Adamson

Learned on FS, beginning at age 10, with version 5.Got my PPL at 17. I think we were on FS8 then.70 hours to date. Would love to get the -IA and -MEL at some point, but school and work are likely to put that off for at least the next few years.Good thing FSX is so darn good.
