Possible Carenado C-210 Cruise RPM Fix

They don't show up as people in the aircraft but their sitting in the next two seats back.I'm going to be in an 182 in a couple of hours, although smaller than the 210 I'll be interested to see what kind of trim it takes on takeoff.Davidhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24390.jpg

"however, make the climb rate more "robust"."yep becouse in fact you are increasing thrust produced by engine-prop combo - so your climb rate will be higher - i've read that better way of changing cruise speed is to change parasite_drag in flight tuning section - there is no such section in 210's aircraft.cfg but you can add :flight_tuning <- bracketscruise_lift_scalar=1.0parasite_drag_scalar=0.8induced_drag_scalar=1.0elevator_effectiveness=1.0aileron_effectiveness=1.0rudder_effectiveness=1.0pitch_stability=1.0roll_stability=1.0yaw_stability=1.0elevator_trim_effectiveness=1.0aileron_trim_effectiveness=1.0rudder_trim_effectiveness=1.0now change to lover value and make some test-flights in standart conditions( i've put 0.8 but it was not tested )

I had thought about adding the parasite_drag scalar, and then using it and the induced_drag scalar to tweak things. Let us know how that works.I went with the thrust_scalar as a first try because I like the way the airplane "loses" energy when you pull the power back. I thought that decreasing the drag scalars might adversely effect the way the aircraft slows down.Looking forward to what you see,

Greg,I have to agree with Ericson regarding the parasite_drag scalar. I've set the thrust scalar back to 1 and I've reduced parasite drag to 0.75. I must admit though, it was pretty wild experimenting with the thrust scalar. :)Thanks!Matt Zagoren
