FS2004 Real Weather Problems.

Supposedly, there is a problem after a while with Real Weather in certain areas where you lose textures for runways, trees, & sky. KCIC was an area that was mentioned. Can someone with the gold release shed light on this or see if this is true?

Not made up just not sure if it's true, coming from a guy at a local gamestop store I ran into today when asking about it and discussing the upcoming version.I don't know whether he is a legitimate tester with the gold or beta or if he's just trying to say something negative about the release. He spoke positively of the effects and VC control I was already aware of except for the weather problems and mentioned several airports. KCIC was the only one I remembered of the ones he mentioned. He said the ground was there but the sky, trees, & runway turned all white. Mostly happening from his home state of northern California.

Well with this real weather system i wish they had it automatically update like 5 mins for VFR, cause 15 min updates is too long i think.

Well, real weather stations only update every 15 minutes, so there really wouldnt be a reason for FS to get updates every 5 minutes... otherwise it would just be downloading the same info 3 times before a new metar was downloaded.

I gave it a whirl at KCIC with real weather updated every 15 and frankly cant see what your mates on about.Took some pictures leaving KCIC and in the airspace above.Had one neat touch which is possible in FS2004 and that is climbing above an inversion layer so added those pics too.Peterhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24368.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24369.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24370.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/24371.jpg
