Altitude Interception Range

Recommended Posts

Hi! First post on avsim so forgive me if im doing something wrong. I've searched around in the forums but I haven't found any topics about this issue. When I'm on the last portion of a Non-Precision approach and descending with the V/S function i get the green band showing me where I will intercept the programmed altitude, but if i touch the V/S scroll bar, for example changing from 800FPM to 700, the green line disappears. Is this normal, or am i doing something wrong? Its not that big of a deal as im often close to MDA at this time but it would be great if someone had an answer anyways. Thanks in advance :( MrGreen

Please use your full name in this forum.I think you are referring to the geen banana on the ND; yeah, it will dissappear as you get close to altitude interception. I'd be careful using that as anything more than a crude projection.
