Pressing Overhead Icon Changes Screen View

Recommended Posts

Can somebody PLEASE help me? When flying the JustFlight PSS 757, when I press the "OVHD" icon in the panel switcher it will change the view from "View Forward" to "View Down", but only if I accidentally have either window 01 or window 02 as the active window; it does not display the overhead panel in either of those two views, and NEVER does it happen when the main window, View 00, is the active view - the icon behaves as intended!! It's VERY annoying - I can change the view back easily enough by going into the View menu in FS9, but I'm always afraid I'm going to crash to desktop or something (you know how paranoid we get when everything is finally running smoothly). Does anybody know how I could prevent this icon gauge from doing this??? I have searched the PSS Unofficial forum . . . it doesn't happen all that often, but when it does, it drives me crazy (which my wife tells me is a very short drive anyway).

I fly with 3 monitors also but I don quite understand what the problem is that you are having. What views do you have on the left and right monitors? What panel do you have on the center, active monitor? jerrycwo4

I have "forward" set on all three with the 2D panel open on the center, and the right and left monitors "panned" to right forward and left forward view, set manually for each flight using the hat switch on my yoke. Do you fly the PSS 757? -- it's really more of an issue with their "OVHD" gauge and not really a multi-mon issue . . . although it is, if you catch my drift, because the only time you're going to see this behavior is if you're running multi-mon in windowed mode. :(

Sorry, I do not have this aircraft so I can not duplicate your problem. jerrycwo4

That's OK Gerry. Thanks for trying.Anybody else know if or how one could dissect this button gauge and stop this behavior, and/or divert it from working on anything other than the center monitor?

Chuck- does it make any difference if you set those outer views the usual way by keying Control plus Num 7 or 9 - rather than panning via hat sw.?And why set the views "for each flight"? Save the flight when you're happy with the setup and you'll be good for go next session.Incidentally, if you change the views Key Assignment from Control + Num Key to Shift + Num Key, you need only hit the single num key to set and lock that view.Alex Reid
