Hi GuysI tried this question the other day over on the CS forums, but had an overwhelming response of zero :( Anyone know how to add or edit the navdata for the Captain Sim FMC? I've learnt how to it a bit with others like PMDG aircraft, but the format looks different for CS data.I have the CS 757 and 767 and am beginning to very much like them both.Same old, same old....... I want to add the Kai Tak VHHX data.Any help most appreciatedThanks

when you say add data, do you mean SIDS/stars, flight plans, manually programming fligh plans???To add flightplans I use fsbuild I don't add data manually because it takes ages.Adding SIDS and stars I download the latest data from navdata.com or something like that. It had a self installer. If you want to select SIDS andstars in the fmc you need to press the dep/arr button.Hope this helpssorry for being brief as I am on m iPhoneTom

If you just want a (fairly) complete set of terminal procedures in the fmc and don't mind paying a little bit of money, check out www.navigraph.com (although, be warned, there are some outstanding issues with the RNAV approaches - see a thread here from a few days ago, and a follow-up thread in the navigraph forums). Terry Yingling maintains navdata for the US, which you can get for free at http://planepath.com/.If you want to insert TPs into the database yourself, and want to do a little bit of work, go to your Captian_Sim/navigation folder, and open IAPs.db, SIDs.db, or STARs.db with a text editor, pick out some examples (you may want to install the planepath update first), and compare them to the published charts. If you can figure out the syntax, you can manually install your own terminal and approach procedures. More work than most people want to do, though. :( I've taken a look at the format a little bit myself, and most of it is pretty obvious, but I'm not sure about all of it.EDIT - Take a look at the Terminal Procedures Forum here on avsim - you may find something to help you there.

If I understand the OP right, the question is "How can I add VHHX to the CS Navdata".I'm interested, too, if anyone knows how to do this. I had a quick look at the Fly Tampa forum, but I couldn't find anything relevant there.
