General Tips and Tricks

Recommended Posts

I was recently doing my homework in Microsoft Word, and I was slightly dissatisfied with how much space the taskbar and the slightly bigger menu bar took up. I was messing with the auto-hide option for the taskbar (Right Click the taskbar > Properties > "Auto-Hide the taskbar", but I like to see what apps I'm running at all times.

  • For the first time after 3 months :(, I noticed there is a checkbox to enable small icons ("Use Small Icons"). To do this 1. Right click the taskbar. 2. Select Properties. 3. Check "Use Small Icons" and hit 'OK'.This makes the taskbar significantly shorter, while keeping it organized and allowing more data to be shown on the screen vertically. This can help if you run FSX in windowed mode, and want slightly more space.

Post your any other useful tips and tricks here. I don't have the time right now to add any extra, so I'll only post this for now...Happy simming! :(
