Hello to all;When you are tankig off or landing what you should be monitoring the PFD speed information or the indications of the V1 gauge and why.Thank you.

Hi,On most PFD's or Airspeed indicators there are "V bugs"They mean reference speeds for a certain configuration of a certain plane.eg V1 is the speed where the pilot decides to continue or abort take-off.You can also use the search function of the forums, lot of info!Jan"Procul Negotiis"

Hello;I'm sorry I did not explained correctrly I mean the N1, I'm reffering to the N1 on the gauges not the V1 on the PFD, I know about v1, v2, vr and the speed bugs. Maybe this question can be only answered by a real pilot, but this information can be used by we all. The Engine Indication and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) has a N1, N2, The primary display is a fixed format providing engine data including RPM, temperature, fuel flow and quantity and vibration

I am not a RW pilot, but I usually focus on speed/altitude rather than N1. Hi,Depending of the aircraft type (Manufacturer's Operational Handbook) you have to watch N1, N2, FF, EGT and EPR as indications of the maximum amount of thrust the engines are allowed to deliver in a certain situation or configuration depending of engine type, weight, athmosferic conditions etc..eg, not chequed!!!, GE: N1, PW: EPR, RR: FF etc.Jan"Procul Negotiis"
