OldModules support in FS2004

Can anyone tell me whether or not FS2004 provides a configuration option similar to the 'OLDMODULES' section of the FS2002.cfg file?Specifically, how does one make FS2004 accept an old module like 'FSSound.dll' and not present a dll error message?The reason that I ask is that I get the impression that there are many existing dlls that FS2004 will consider suspect, and I have heard that FS2004 does not have either an FS9.cfg file or a FS2004.cfg file.Thanks,Robert

Actually I heard it does...The config file is just not in the program directory...It's contained in one of the program data directories of your user directory. So each user name on the computer can have different config settings. And I bet the 'oldmodules' setting works too.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to post an answer to my question.You are correct - FS2004 contains an FS9.CFG file, and it supports OLDMODULES in the same manner as did FS2002. Adding 'FSSound.dll=1' to FS9.CFG worked as advertised.Thanks,Robert

You must be a better man than me because I can not find a fs9.cfg in the root folder of fs2004. Please advise where I can locate it.Thanks

You didn't read the Read Me First post, did you?Q) Where is the configuration file now located?A) It will be located in your personal Application Data folder. On Windows 2000/XP systems, this is located in Documents and SettingsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9FS9.cfg (for Windows 9x users the path is WindowsApplication DataMicrosoftFS9fs9.cfg). The Application Data folder is hidden, so you will need to enable viewing of hidden files/folders under the Folder Options in your Explorer.
