Prop wont start

Recommended Posts

Please help me! Whenever i go to turn the prop on on the J41, it wont start. I am following the manual closely, and all my FSX settings are OK. All of the values on the flightdeck are good. The engines have been started before. Help!

Sorry partner, but we can't help you until you sign your full real name. That being said, even a cursory scan at the top of the J41 forum would have yielded an two extensive (sticky) posts about how to start the engines.

Are the props feathered? The engines on the Jetstream won't start if the props are feathered, and the props naturally feather after being shutdown for about a minute if you don't engage the start locks by pulling the power levers back into full beta. Use the unfeather pump to unfeather them, engage the start locks, and try starting again.Regards,Tom Wright
