Hi, I wonder on what hard drive I must install FSX with Acceleration pack for better performance?I have 2 hard drives:1rst(old,500 gb) is separated to 2 parts: one part for OS (Windows xp sp 2) and some lite programms (30gb), other part for all the other things like games, 3d progs, e.t.c.(470gb), 2nd hard drive(almost new, 500 gb). Both drives (Samsung and Seagate) 7200 rpm,SATA-II.Thanks for any help.

The 2nd (new) one. Never install FSX on the OS drive or on a partition of a drive that also holds the OS-partition. Best option is to have a drive dedicated to FSX. (Unless you have an SSD: I have FSX installed on the SSD that also holds the OS.)

Agree with the above. Also, partitioning drives is an old concept and is detrimental to performance.
Partitioning has its uses. I, for example have 2 harddrives, each with an OS install and dual boot. One hardrive is partitioned into storage/OS for internet use, word processing, downloading, etc (so I can quickly format if somethign goes wrong), and the other hardrive is for only games, no extra programs. Works very well this way and I don't have to worry about viruses messing something up.

Drives are so cheap now it really doesn't make sense to partition rather than just grabbing another drive.
