Warnings on takeoff configuration

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know why I receive a warning tone and message of speedbrake extended and configure spoilers when I hit the TOGA button. This stops at 80 Knots. The spoilers are armed not extended. All hardware has been disconnected with the speedbrakes armed via the shift + / key so it is not a calibration issue. If I move the spoiler lever to the normal disengaged position the racket stops. The spoilers are configured and the speedbrakes are not extended. Frustrating.Any advice appreciated.Andrew Dixon

Don't arm speed breaks on take off! Read page 38 and 39 in the manual: 11_AIRCRAFT_SYSTEMS_747_400_V10.pdfNormal procedures in the manual: 05_NORMAL_PROCEDURES_747_400_V10.pdf
