February 6, 201016 yr I just bought the 747-400X and so would find a performance (fps/smoothness/IQ, etc) comparison meaningful. But it's certain ok. I just did about 3/4 of a flight from KSFO-KDEN in pretty heavy weather and while taxiing before dawn was seeing 17-20 frames, a little herky jerky, but as I say that is with pretty heavy weather, rain lotsa clouds out to 110m full density, autogen at Dense, scen complex Extreme. Up in the air with a very full cloud cover below, staying around 26-30. The big girl is definitely the most taxing bird in the small fleet I have. I have been a bit spoiled by Coolsky's Super MD80 Pro!OK, well that sounds like a good endorsement, though I note your choice of the word 'think'. I am torn between the JS41 and the ERJ 145 v2, which by all accounts is easier on performance concerns. Still going to do some more forum reading and then decide.
