FS2004 Autocoordination?

Recommended Posts

Just installed FS2004 and I can't find any way to enable autocoordination. Some of the planes worked OK but the DC-3 did not. Is there a way to enable autocoordination for those of us without rudder pedals or rudders on the joystick? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Hi again Matt. I tried that but I still can't get the rudder to work like it did in FS2002. I used to be able to taxi the tail draggers with the joystick when autocoordination was on. Any suggestions? Thanks, regards, Bob.

Im not sure, but I know that the DC-3 has a tail wheel lock. If that is engaged you will not be able to turn the plane. You should unlock it to taxi and lock it back for takeoff once you are lined up with the centerline. With the wheel lock it will help keep the aircraft from vaning until the wheel comes off the ground and the rudder is active.I also don't know if all the taildraggers in FS2004 have this or not.Mark

On taildraggers differential braking should be used in taxi (F11, F12)Different engine settings can help too
