XP and SAPI

Hi i'm having hard time trying to understand why the sapi engine is not working on my comp.I've downloaded SpeechSDK51.exe on Microsoft's site but no way to initialized it.If someone has ideas about i should do it.... of course my specs Win XP sp3Q66003 Go DDR2Regards Cedric

Hi Cedric,Do you mean "install" SAPI for XP?If memory serves correct, just extract the contents to a temp folder and run the Setup exe.Let me know if you need further help.Best,

HI byorkthanks for the answerIt seems there is a problem with the SAPI setup. For example when I'm trying to launch a Grammar Compiler, i get this message : Error initializing speech objects. Shutting Down. Make sure SAPI5 is installed!Of course i have no new icons in my configuration panel.I know SAPI is no part from your soft but thanks for trying to help me.Cedric

Hi Cedric,I'm not sure why you can't launch the SAPI Grammar Compiler.You don't need that for FS2Crew.Are you using XP 64 bit?Based on what I've read XP 64 doesn't support SAPI, but some guys on the forum here said there were able to get SAPI working on their 64 bit XP version.

Did you open the FS2Crew main panel?Please email me... we can do a remote desktop so I can setup you up.Best,
