How to save a flight

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to save a flight including all that was entered on the FMC.Example: Aircraft is ready for take off from runway with all data entered into FMC. I would like to be able to start from that point without having to enter any info into FMC.Simply start PMDG and go fly. Thanks

Did you know that you can export data (or rather just the flight plan part) that you enter into the FMC? It will save in your PMDG folder, and you can import again when you start a new flight. To save, in the ACT RTE 1 page, you will see RTE COPY. Press that and your flight will export. The FMC saves the flightplane with the name of the takeoff airport, then the name of the destination followed by 001, for example EGLLKORD001. To reload it, on the RTE1 page, tap in the name of the file and upload it to the CO ROUTE line. You will find the file in Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS should you want to rename them or back them up.To save the actual flight, all you need to do is pause the sim, hit the ; button and save as usual. The state of the plane will save automatically.Personally, i like to enter the data each time - adds to the realism.
