How to import x-plane model into 3ds max or other 3D software ?

Hi I've been wondering if anyone knows how to take an airplane from X-plane, and use that model in a 3D software to create controlled 3D animations with it. Anyone have any ideas ?

Open that plane in planemaker and somewhere in the menu options (can't remember where) is the option to export the aircraft in native "obj" format. Then you import that into either Blender or AC3D. From there you can do whatever you like with it.

If you have AC3D and install it's X-Plane plugin, you'll be able to import objects, create, export, etc.jimb
