fsx & pmdg performance/quality with amd/ati combo

Recommended Posts

hey, i know that in the past the amd chipsets and processors have been considered to slow for fsx and ati cards have had alot of issues apparently with drivers, image processing quality and performance, just wanted to know if the current generation of amd/ati goodies are up to the task. im building a new rig wondering if scince 2006, here we are in 2010 if the best they have to offer can let me max out the sliders, alteast EVERYTHING except for the ground, scenery, air, water traffic settings which i dont mind all off. heres my parts list:http://img199.imageshack.us/img199/3915/29892909.jpgif anyone has similar hardware please let me know of ur experiencesill be running fsx under win7 with dx10thanks.Kaveesh.

I can't recommend ATI any longer unfortunately - they publicly stated recently that they will not fix some long standing driver issues with FS because it's old and not enough people play it according to them. Wait until next month when the new Nvidia cards come out and see whether those or the GTX285 are better for FSX.

the actualy said that! if they did wow, well time for the i7/nvidia switch. flight simmers i always though were a big market and fsx would own quite a large portion, look at all the third party compaines developing on the fsx platfrom, i recon its more of a excuse as the cant match intel and nvidia with quality and perfomrance on both gpu and cpu counts. the game may be 'old' from 2006 but any of there technology still cant handle it! on all counts!Kaveesh.
